Orientation Registration – Summer Sessions
Students must complete the following prior to attending Orientation:
- Pick a date and register. See schedule below.
- Complete VC Application for Admission.
- Submit Assessment scores (THEA, COMPASS Alternative Assessment) or proof of THEA exemption (i.e., ACT, SAT, TAKS etc.) to Registrar Office.
- Submit official copy of high school transcript or GED to Registrar Office.
- Meet with a VC Counselor prior to Orientation. Call 361-572-6405 or email to schedule an appointment.
Steps 1 through 5 must be completed prior to attendance of Orientation.

There are 11 Orientation '07 summer sessions scheduled. Each session will be held in the Student Center. Capacity for each session is a maximum of 50 students. The cost of Orientation '07 is $25. Cost includes refreshments, t-shirt and academic planner.
If you attend a summer session, you will not have to take the Orientation class in the Fall semester, for which you will pay one hour of tuition. By taking the summer session, you will also get to register for Fall classes early.
