Student Employment

A wide variety of campus jobs are available for students attending The Victoria College.  While most of these positions require that students demonstrate financial need based on federal standards, some positions are available for students who may have less demonstrable need but who wish to work to assist with college expenses.  In addition to assisting students financially, these positions provide valuable work experience.  All students who are interested in student employment must apply in the Financial Aid Office.

The Victoria College Human Resources Office provides job application forms, job placement services and work orientation training to students who participate in Student Employment Programs.  The job application form is also available on the College website and from the Financial Aid Office.

Federal Work-Study Program

The Federal Work-Study Program provides funding for campus jobs for students who demonstrate financial need.  Students may work up to 19 hours per week.  Interested students must complete an application for financial aid prior to being employed as a FWS student. All students interested in participating in the FWS for this year must first apply for the Federal Pell Grant and have received an award letter from The Victoria College Financial Aid Office.  Applications for employment in the FWS Program are available in the Financial Aid Office.

Federal Work-Study Community Service Program

The Victoria College is participating in the Federal Work-Study Community Service Program (FWS-CSP) during the 2005-2007 academic years.  All students interested in participating in the FWS-CSP for this year must first apply for the Federal Pell Grant and have received an award letter from The Victoria College Financial Aid Office.  For additional information please stop by the Financial Aid Office.

Student Assistant Employment Program

A limited amount of institutional funds are available for employing individuals who are not eligible for the Federal Work-Study Program.  Students are encouraged to apply for the Student Assistant Employment Program as soon as possible.  Please contact the Financial Aid Office for more information.
